This year’s 2018 Pride and Patriot Event showcasing the talents of Lee County Public and Charter School students will take place appropriately on Veterans Day Sunday, November 11 at The Barbara B. Mann Hall from 6pm to 9pm. Tickets are available for $15 each at the Mann Hall box office or on-line at https://bbmannpah.com.
Contest divisions for students include poetry, drawing and painting, digital design, photography, and mini-documentary films all at age-appropriate topics. This year’s theme is The Role of Women in the Military Through the Years. Every year, our students have stunned the audience with their creativity, art, execution and awareness of the theme. As always, Lee County teachers have assisted their students through encouragement of their chosen project while also ensuring the students are responsible for the project. This year’s Awards will again be presented by area Veterans who will be honored for their service.
Always a favorite item, local Lee County Schools’ musical groups will perform many patriotic songs to celebrate our military veterans. Lee County has a very significant population of US Military Veterans.
Lee County Schools and the Pride and Patriotism Committee (a nonprofit c3 group supported by donations) produce this event on an annual basis always awarding our school children and honoring our Lee County Veterans.
